Rhaila Tomakin Denies Being the Third Party in Kobe Paras and Kyline Alcantara Breakup: “Kobe Is Not My Type”
Singer and influencer Rhaila Tomakin has firmly denied rumors suggesting that she played a role in the recent breakup of basketball player Kobe Paras and actress Kyline Alcantara. In a candid interview with the press, Tomakin clarified that her relationship with Paras is purely platonic and that there was never any romantic involvement between them.
“Kobe is a great guy and a very good friend, but that’s about it,” Tomakin stated. “I get that it’s easy to misread things, especially in our culture where people talk about the so-called ‘3-month rule’ after a breakup. But guys, it’s 2025 now.”
Tomakin addressed speculations surrounding a trip to Bali earlier this year, where she and Paras were seen together. She emphasized that the trip was a group vacation and should not be interpreted as something romantic. “It wasn’t a getaway for two. There were other people with us. It was an innocent, casual trip, but people twisted it into a honeymoon,” she explained, expressing frustration at the overblown reactions online.
According to Tomakin, Kobe and Kyline had already broken up well before the Bali trip took place. She made it clear that she had no intention of disrespecting anyone or interfering in anyone’s relationship. “I wasn’t trying to insert myself into anything or hurt anyone’s feelings. It really was just a coincidence — same place, same time. I don’t read too much into it,” she said.
When asked about her type, Tomakin was honest: Kobe Paras, she said, is not the kind of man she’s attracted to. “I’m not into sports guys. I like businessmen. I need someone who can stimulate my mind. I want a man who knows how to be a man — someone mature. I don’t want to have to teach a guy how to grow up,” she shared.
Tomakin also took a moment to express solidarity with Kyline Alcantara, acknowledging that women often receive more public criticism than men in breakups. “I sincerely wish her all the best — more projects, more love, more happiness — because, honestly, women usually take the brunt of public scrutiny. Men often walk away unscathed while people tear women apart,” she said.
As for herself, Tomakin said she’s currently focused on personal growth and her music career, and not interested in the drama that’s being created around her name.
So far, neither Kobe Paras nor Kyline Alcantara has issued a detailed statement on their breakup. However, Tomakin’s firm denial may help dispel at least some of the speculation surrounding their separation.
