Bong Revilla’s Political Journey

Bong Revilla began his political career as Vice Governor of Cavite in 1995. He later became the Governor of the province. In 2004, he entered the Senate and served three terms from 2004 to 2010, 2010 to 2016, and 2019 to 2025. During his tenure, he filed nearly 2,000 bills, with over 300 becoming laws. Among these is the Free College Entrance Examinations Act, which mandates private colleges and universities to waive entrance exam fees for underprivileged yet intelligent students.

Defeat in the 2025 Midterm Elections

Despite his accomplishments, Revilla was not fortunate in the 2025 midterm elections. His defeat was a harsh blow to his political career.
