“She was not just a mother to me, she was an icon to the world,” Jackie Lou shared tearfully. “But in the end, she just wanted peace.”

Pilita was known for her elegance, musical genius, and incredible influence on generations of Filipino artists.

💔 Why Ricky Davao Never Knew Pilita Had Passed

One of the most emotional moments of the interview was when Jackie Lou revealed that Ricky Davao, who was battling cancer in his final days, never knew about Pilita Corrales’ death. The family, including their children, decided not to tell him to spare him further emotional pain.

“We wanted to protect him. He loved Mom so much… telling him would have broken his heart more,” she explained.

Ricky Davao passed away on May 1, 2025, at the age of 63. Their decision, while painful, was rooted in love.

Despite separating in 2011 after 22 years of marriage, Jackie Lou openly expressed her regrets during the episode. She admitted there were things she wished she had done differently.

“I wish I fought harder for us. There were so many moments I took for granted,” she confessed.
