Gretchen Barretto, nasa listahan ng sangkot sa missing sabungero?

Ito ang sagot ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla sa news reporters na nagtanong tungkol sa paglutang ng pangalan ni Gretchen Barretto sa listahan ng mga sabungerong nakatakdang sampahan ng reklamo.
Nakapanayam si Remulla ng news reporters mula sa iba-ibang TV stations noong Lunes, Hunyo 30, 2025.
Nadawit ang pangalan ni Gretchen dahil sa nakakaintrigang pahayag ng isang Alias Totoy na napanood sa 24 Oras noong Hunyo 26, 2025, nang eksklusibo siyang makapanayam ni Emil Sumangil.
Ipinakilala ni Alias Totoy ang sarili bilang katiwala ng personalidad na nasa likod umano ng pagkawala ng mga sabungero mula pa Enero 2022.
Pahayag ni Alias Totoy: “Mayroong isang babaeng celebrity. Di ko muna papangalanan, at alam na nila yan.
“Kasama siya sa alpha member… Ibig sabihin, kasama siya sa grupo.”
Hindi nagbigay ng detalye at walang binanggit na pangalan si Alias Totoy, ngunit iginiit nitong kabilang ang female celebrity sa mga dapat sampahan ng kaso.
Online, mabilis kumalat ang espekulasyon sa tinutukoy ni Alias Totoy na “female celebrity.”
Dito na lumutang ang pangalan ni Gretchen, na sa hinala ng netizens ay siyang tinutukoy ng witness, dahil na rin marahil sa matagal na pagkakaugnay ng aktres sa isang malaking personalidad na nasa business ng sabong.
Ang pagpapakilala ni Gretchen sa tao ay siya niyang “business partner.”

“Parang hindi pa siya fully sworn. Wala akong nakitang pirma sa nabasa ko, but he [Alias Totoy] must have probably one already.”

Inusisa rin kay Remulla kung may impormasyon siya sa ibang artistang sangkot umano sa maselang usaping inilabas ni Alias Totoy.

Samantala, sa entertainment industry ay pinag-uusapan ang mga rebelasyon ni Alias Totoy dahil sa pagkakadawit nito sa “babaeng celebrity” na hindi pinangalanan.
Lalong umingay ang kontrobersiya nang sabihin ni Remulla na “basta there are others,” patukoy sa iba pang showbiz personalities na idinawit sa mga rebelasyon ni Alias Totoy.
