In a report aired by GMA News 24 Oras, Totoy alleged that both Ang and Barretto are the “masterminds” responsible for the mysterious case that has baffled authorities and distressed the families of the missing men.

This marks the first time Gretchen Barretto’s name has been directly linked to the controversy, as previous reports primarily mentioned Ang.

Atong Ang, whose name has been dragged into the case for months, has denied any involvement.

Following Totoy’s televised claims, he announced he would be filing a complaint affidavit against Totoy on Thursday, signaling legal action in response to the serious accusations.

The case of the missing sabungeros has sparked national concern since early 2022, with at least 30 individuals vanishing under suspicious circumstances related to online cockfighting operations.

The public appearance of Totoy and his direct accusations have intensified calls for a thorough investigation.

However, as of now, no formal charges have been filed against either Ang or Barretto in connection with the disappearances.

Authorities have yet to issue an official statement in response to Totoy’s claims, but pressure is mounting as the families of the victims continue to demand justice and answers.

Investigations are ongoing as new allegations surface.
