‘It’s Showtime’ lags highest rating for 2025 during ‘TNT’ ‘Grand Resbak 2025’ finale

Kapamilya noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ reached a new milestone after recording its highest rating of the year, according to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey.

The surge came during the TNT Grand Resbak 2025: Huling Tapatan episode, which aired on Saturday, April 26. On that day, It’s Showtime scored an impressive 7.2% rating, decisively outperforming its rival EAT… Bulaga, which managed only 3.6%—a substantial margin of 3.6 percentage points.

The show’s TNT grand finales have consistently proven to be strong ratings boosters.

For example, the previous TNT 7: Huling Tapatan episode also delivered a win against both ‘EAT… Bulaga’ and the now-canceled ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya.’ That finale drew over 313,000 concurrent live viewers across YouTube and Facebook, highlighting the program’s powerful digital reach in addition to its television viewership.

In the lead-up to the finale, It’s Showtime maintained strong performance throughout the week.

On Monday, April 21, it posted a 6.0% rating,  2.2 percentage points higher than “EAT… Bulaga’s” 3.8%. The ratings climbed further on Tuesday, April 22, reaching 6.7%, with ‘EAT… Bulaga’ trailing at 3.7%. Although Wednesday, April 23, saw a slight dip to 6.1%, the show still held a firm lead over its rival, which remained at 3.7%.

On Thursday, April 24, It’s Showtime rebounded with a 6.9% rating, beating ‘EAT… Bulaga’ once again, which logged 3.6%. Finally, on Friday, April 25, the noontime program closed the week strong with a 6.1% rating, 2.5 percentage points ahead of ‘EAT… Bulaga’, which maintained its 3.6% viewership.

The consistent dominance of It’s Showtime throughout TNT Finale Week underscores the show’s continued appeal and solidifies its position as the top noontime program among Filipino audiences.
