Oyo Boy Sotto, a known Filipino actor and member of the influential Sotto family, recently made waves on social media after expressing his wholehearted support for his younger brother, Vico Sotto, who is running for his third and final term as Mayor of Pasig City for this year’s election.

On his Instagram page, @osotto, Oyo Boy posted a short but impactful message addressed to Pasigueños: “Mga taga-Pasig, si VICO SOTTO ang iboto kung ayaw ninyo MADISMAYA.”

His show of support came at a time when Mayor Vico himself previously made headlines on social media for calling out alleged questionable actions by his political rival back in April 2025.

According to one of Mayor Vico’s recent social media post, his opponent had reportedly used a British passport, which Vico pointed out as a “continuing ‘act of allegiance’ to a foreign state.”

Meanwhile, earlier this year, Mayor Vico addressed a lighthearted but buzzworthy comment made by Vic Sotto, who previously joked about Vico being the “susunod na Presidente ng Pilipinas.”

The comment, though made in jest, sparked discussions online about Vico’s growing prominence and popularity in national politics, with netizens hoping to see him run for a higher position soon.

Oyo Boy’s endorsement not only reflects family unity but also adds celebrity weight to the younger Sotto’s campaign as election season intensifies in Pasig for this year’s current election run.
