It can be recalled that the Kapuso comedienne first rose to fame as a player in one of Willie’s segments on Wowowin, which was then airing on GMA.

The beauty queen aspirant then asked the veteran host for advice. Willie’s message was centered around Herlene’s honesty. Be yourself. Whatever you are, whatever you started with on ‘Wowowin,’ that’s who you are. When you’re asked to speak English, you have an interpreter. It’s just a joke, but be yourself,” the host told Herlene.

“‘I am Filipina. I want to answer this so that my countrymen can understand. I am not a winner yet. I want to answer what I am and what they should understand,’” Willie seemed to be giving an example of Herlene’s answer to her upcoming national pageant.
