Rivero’s partner confirmed this through a post that appeared to have been deleted or made private a few hours later.

“Ricky Rivero is no more, he has passed away. [M]any thanks for the tireless support of my wife,” the post said. According to a PEP report, Rivero’s uncle, Phillip Salvador, also confirmed the passing of his nephew.

Herbert Bautista expressed his condolences for the passing of a friend and colleague in film and television.

“A sad day because of the passing of a friend and colleague in film and television. Farewell, Ricky. Our family extends its condolences to the Salvador and Rivero Families,” Bautista said in his statement. The cause of Rivero’s death is not yet clear.

Meanwhile, it will be recalled that in May, the actor-director was rushed to the hospital due to a stroke.

Rivero’s showbiz career began as a child actor, appearing in the shows Ninja Kids and Samurai Sword. He also became a mainstay host on “That’s Entertainment” from 1986 to 1996.
