Noel Ferrer, a veteran talent manager, took to Instagram to share what the “last message” he received from the late Nora Aunor—a touching tribute that reflected the Superstar’s kindness.

On his official Instagram account, @iamnoelferrer, Noel posted a screenshot of Nora’s message to him, celebrating fellow actress Judy Ann Santos, following the latter’s win back in MMFF 2024.

The sweet note read: “From Ate Guy: Paki-CONGRATULATE naman si Juday. Pakisabi mo binabati ko ang idol ko sa pagkapanalo niya ng Best Actress sa nakaraang MMFF. Congratulations!”

The message referred to Judy Ann’s acclaimed win as Best Actress at the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) for her gripping performance in the horror and supernatural film Espantaho.

In the same post, Noel honored Nora’s gracious spirit and unwavering support for fellow artists.

 

“MY LAST MESSAGE FROM ATE GUY… Truly, consummate artists (queens) support each other #SalamatAteGuy #GodspeedNoraAunor #PambansangAlagadNgSining,” he had written online.

The tribute drew a wave of emotion from fans and local celebrities alike on social media.

Judy Ann herself took notice of the post and expressed her grief by commenting with several sad emojis, a simple yet poignant acknowledgment of the Superstar’s message and passing this year.

Nora, widely regarded as the ‘Superstar’ and National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts, passed away earlier this year, leaving a monumental legacy in Philippine cinema and showbiz industry.

Her final gesture toward Judy Ann—a star from a younger generation whom she still called her ‘idol’—speaks volumes about her character and how deeply she cherished the craft and its artists.

 

Nora Aunor is a celebrated Filipino actress, singer, and producer. Known as the ‘Superstar of Philippine cinema, she has earned critical acclaim for her powerful performances in films such as Himala, Bona, and The Flor Contemplacion Story.
