Allen Dizon fulfills dream of working with Nora Aunor | PEP.ph

Even after two years, actor Allen Dizon still carries unforgettable memories of working with the late Nora Aunor—memories not just of her iconic talent, but of her extraordinary kindness behind the scenes.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN during the premiere of his latest film Fatherland, Allen opened up about the selfless generosity he witnessed firsthand during the filming of their unreleased project Ligalig, which would become one of Nora’s final films.

“Every single day on set, may pa-raffle siya. Minsan may pa-game pa na simpleng laro lang—pero hindi ‘yun para magpasaya, kundi para makapagbigay siya ng pera sa crew,” Allen recalled with admiration. “Napakabait. Sobrang generous.”

Despite her legendary status, “Ate Guy” never acted like a superstar. Instead, she focused her energy on lifting others up quietly, handing out her own money to crew members during long shooting days—not for attention, but out of a genuine heart for people.

“Kahit wala na siyang masyadong pera, pag may lumapit sa kanya—bibigyan niya. Ganun siyang klaseng tao,” Allen shared emotionally. “Iba talaga yung puso niya.”

💬 Legacy Beyond the Spotlight

More than a co-star, Allen described Nora as a teacher—not just in acting, but in compassion and humanity.

“Ang dami kong natutunan sa kanya. Hindi lang sa pag-arte kundi sa pagiging tao. Yung malasakit niya sa kapwa—’yun ang gusto niyang iwan.”

He added that working with Nora inspired him to pay it forward—to be a source of light in an industry that can often be cutthroat.

“Gusto niya, magtulungan tayong lahat sa showbiz. Yun ang pamana niya: pagmamahalan at pagtutulungan.”

🕯 A Farewell Full of Love

Attending Nora Aunor’s wake, Allen was moved by the overwhelming outpour of grief and gratitude from those she touched.

“Ang daming nagmahal sa kanya. Ang daming taong natulungan at napasaya ni Ate Guy. Hindi lang siya artista. Isa siyang babaeng may puso para sa masa.”

Despite his nearly three decades in the business, Allen says Ligalig stands out as one of his proudest acting experiences—simply because he got to share the screen with the one and only Superstar.

“Kasama ko si Ate Guy—kailangan mo talagang ibigay ang lahat mo. She pushed you to be your best.”

In silence, she gave. In kindness, she reigned. Nora Aunor’s legacy is not only etched in cinema but in the lives she quietly touched behind the scenes.
