In a selfie posted on his official social media pages, Doc Willie captioned it with heartfelt message that immediately resonated with thousands of followers. In his full post, he wrote:

Doc Willie candidly shared that although his cancer has not shrunk, it has remained stable — a major relief for patients fighting stage 4 cancer, where aggressive growth is often a serious threat. Currently, he is undergoing immunotherapy, a treatment that uses the body’s own immune system to help his condition.

The doctor also took time to acknowledge the crucial role played by Dr. Ang Peng Tiam, a prominent Singaporean doctor. His gratitude extended not only to his medical team but also to the countless individuals offering prayers and encouragement throughout his journey.

Reflecting on the unpredictability of life, Doc Willie shared a message filled with faith and acceptance:

Ending his post with warmth and affection, he added:

“God bless sa inyo. Mahal na mahal ko kayo.”

Doc Willie’s courage and positive spirit have inspired millions over the years, both through his medical advice and his genuine compassion for the Filipino people.

For many, Doc Willie Ong remains not just a doctor but a symbol of hope and resilience.

Doc Willie Ong finally filed his COC for senator in the 2025 elections. However, given his health condition, he couldn’t file his certificate of candidacy personally. Instead, his COC was officially filed by his wife, Dr. Liza Ong. It can be recalled that Doc Willie Ong recently revealed that he has abdominal cancer.

Meanwhile, Doc Wille Ong revealed that he is battling abdominal cancer. A day after the announcement, the cardiologist penned a lengthy and meaningful post about his condition. Although he considers himself fortunate because he receives good medical care, he still feels downhearted that many Filipino patients can never avail of such treatment.
