Former Gilas Pilipinas player Kobe Paras has unfollowed Kapuso actress Kyline Alcantara on Instagram, fueling speculations that the couple may have ended their relationship.

This development was reported by entertainment website PEP.ph on Tuesday, April 22.

According to the report, keen-eyed netizens noticed that Kobe no longer follows Kyline on the platform as of today. This comes just two days after Kyline was first seen unfollowing Kobe on April 20, Sunday.

Rumors of a breakup have circulated in recent weeks. Earlier, showbiz reporter Alex Brosas of the Daily Tribune claimed the two had quietly separated after nearly a year of being together. The reason behind the reported split, however, remains undisclosed.

Despite the online activity suggesting otherwise, Kobe’s father, PBA legend Benjie Paras, denied the breakup rumors. “Sila pa rin,” Benjie said, adding that he had just spent time drinking with the two, suggesting they were still on good terms.

The younger Paras had confirmed his relationship with Alcantara in an exclusive interview with Cosmopolitan Philippines last year.

Before the confirmation, the two were first seen walking hand in hand at a parking area in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, sparking dating rumors.

They also made headlines after a video circulated of the pair enjoying a karaoke session, with Alcantara seen sitting on Paras’ lap.

Before dating Alcantara, Paras was previously rumored to be in a relationship with Erika Portunak, the eldest daughter of actress Ina Raymundo.

Now 27 years old, Paras is currently inactive in professional basketball. His last stint was with Altiri Chiba in Japan’s B.League Division 2, where he played as an Asian Quota Player in 2023.
