It’s been two years since actor Allen Dizon had the unforgettable opportunity to work alongside the legendary Nora Aunor in the still unreleased film Ligalig. In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Allen shared why the moments he experienced on set will forever be etched in his memory, even when the cameras weren’t rolling.

“Working with Ate Guy for Ligalig—one of her last films—was truly remarkable. It was a first and last chance for me,” Allen recalled. He was particularly struck by Nora’s generosity, noting how she would often distribute money to the crew during filming.

“Every day, there were raffles and games—nothing serious, just a way for her to give back. I thought, ‘Wow, Ate Guy is incredibly kind and generous,’” he explained during the premiere of his latest film Fatherland on April 22.

Allen witnessed firsthand the boundless generosity of the country’s one and only Superstar. “People say it doesn’t matter if she has little left; if someone approached her, she would help. It’s rare to find people like that nowadays—those who genuinely want to support those in need. Ate Guy has a heart unlike any other,” he added.

Reflecting on his experience, Allen emphasized the lessons he learned about compassion and generosity through his interactions with Nora. “I learned so much from her. I know that artists like me will continue what Ate Guy started—helping others, uniting, and spreading love in the industry.”

Even after 27 years in the industry, Allen considers his film with Nora a defining moment in his career. “Absolutely! Working with Ate Guy pushes you to be your best. Imagine sharing the screen with her; it inspires you to excel,” he concluded.
