Claudine Barretto was hospitalized last night after an alleged fight with sister Marjorie Barretto at dad Miguel Barretto’s wake. According to ABS-CBN News, the actress sustained an injury on her hand and felt dizzy after the alleged incident.

Ruby Baguhin, a staff member of Claudine and Marjorie’s sister Gretchen Barretto, reportedly told ABS-CBN News that Marjorie supposedly “attacked” Claudine. The staff member said Julia Barretto, Marjorie’s daughter, was involved in the alleged incident.

The alleged fight came a day after Gretchen went to the wake and reconciled with mom Inday Barretto. President Rodrigo Duterte, who came to pay his respects to the late patriarch, reportedly asked Marjorie and Gretchen to shake hands out of respect for their father. Marjorie allegedly refused to do so, according to ABS-CBN News. Later on, a scuffle involving members of the family allegedly ensued, and the Presidential Security Group reportedly had to break it up.

Among the family members, only Gretchen has spoken about the incident. In a statement to ABS-CBN News, she said, “It was all so nice until Marjorie had a nervous breakdown… Marjorie was not happy that I was there to reunite with family.”

Gretchen, Marjorie, and Claudine were known to have strained relationships with each other, until Gretchen and Claudine reconciled earlier this year. Gretchen and Marjorie recently had a public spat amid cheating allegations involving Julia and Between Maybes co-star Gerald Anderson.
