Bimby Aquino Yap just turned 18 years old last April 19 and had a simple celebration to mark the occasion. Renowned makeup artist RB Chanco shared a glimpse of the celebration of Kris Aquino’s youngest son on her Instagram account.

Bimby is the youngest child of Kris to her ex-husband.

In her post, RB shared a heartfelt message to the celebrity son as he turned a year older. The makeup artist has been a longtime friend of Kris and her family and has been sharing updates about the Philippines’ Queen of All Media on her social media accounts.

“Bimb, you’re 18 today and it’s hard to put into words how proud I am of the person you’ve become,” RB wrote.

Joining RB in Bimby’s celebration were some of the close friends and family of Kris. Meanwhile, the celebrity mom was shown resting in her bed while they gathered in singing her son a birthday song.

“You’ve always had a quiet strength and a gentle heart. No matter how much you’ve grown, you’ve stayed kind, grounded, and full of love for the people who matter to you,” RB added.

The celebrity makeup artist then recalled how Kris previously said that this might be the last birthday that she would spend with her son. In a separate video, RB asked Bimby what his birthday wish was but the latter didn’t disclose it so that it may “come true.”

“Your mom once said this might be the last birthday she gets to spend with you, and that stayed with me. But I truly believe that as long as you’re by her side, she’ll keep finding the strength to keep going. You’ve given so much of yourself to her, and that love is something truly rare. You’re a gift to your family, and to everyone lucky enough to know you. I’ve seen how real and good your heart is, and I’ll always be grateful to be part of your life,” she continued.

In a previous post, Kris expressed how she feared not being able to celebrate her son’s birthday. Despite this, she hoped that Bimby will remain grounded and passionate for the things he loves.

“LOVE YOU not only during my lifetime or yours BUT definitely for eternity. You’re my greatest achievement because of your capacity to love- this early you’ve embraced your responsibility to take care of your kuya, and since you were 11 years old, you’ve been so protective of me. Love doesn’t die my 🍯, please remember that. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the love of my life,” Kris previously shared.

Kris has been battling several autoimmune diseases and even moved to the US for some time to seek treatment. She has since returned to the country and has been recovering from her illness.
