Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon have settled down, and they did it sans the fanfare!

Carlo and Charlie shocked the Internet with their *secret wedding* done at a private resort in Silang, Cavite. It was first reported by the news agency of their home network, ABS-CBN News. Though there were many speculations, the public did not even know the two were engaged.

The news outlet detailed that Carlo and Charlie had a garden wedding, and guests included ABS-CBN and Star Magic executives. ICYDK, the couple are both Star Magic talents.

Charlie wore a bridal gown by Steph Tan. She also became the loveliest and most radiant bride, with a little help from make-up artist Marben Talanay.

According to ABS-CBN News, Charlie’s beautiful maid of honor was Sue Ramirez. The two worked together in the teleserye, A Soldier’s Heart. Aside from Sue, Charlie also had the most amazing set of bridesmaids with Kaila Estrada, Adrian Lindayag, and Belle Mariano stepping in.

Charlie’s sisters from her recent teleserye Pira-Pirasong Paraiso were also present at her once-in-a-lifetime event. Sending their best wishes and support for their best girl Charlie, Loisa Andalio became the candle bearer. Elisse Joson was also part of the entourage carrying the wedding veil, and Alexa Ilacad offered the cord at the wedding altar.

As for Carlo, Ketchup Eusebio and Ramon Bautista were at the ceremony as his groomsmen.

The Dreamy Aisle: Charlie and Carlo Aquino’s Wedding Details

According to stylist Dave Sandoval, the actress chose blush pink and other pastels for the aisle decor.

“We crafted a romantic indoor garden for Carlo and Charlie’s nuptials, with a mirrored walk, symmetrical lines, and floral accents in the bride’s favorite color of blush pink and other pastels,” Sandoval said in an Instagram post on Sunday night.

Carlo and Charlie have always been intrigued by the thought of settling down. With everybody knowing how Carlo’s past relationships didn’t work out, it was an insisting puzzling concern for netizens if Charlie would be the woman who would finally remove him from being the perennial bachelor.

Today, there we have it folks: Charlie was Carlo’s endgame. We guessed that no one saw it coming so soon, but Carlo actually posted about his wedding plans with Charlie!

It turns out it was one of their pre-nup shoots. Last night, Carlo uploaded a photo with the caption, “Unti unti natin gagapangin ang buhay ng nakatawa.” Charlie even commented an “I love you” to the post.

The post came almost at the same time that Charlie was recognized as the Best Actress at the 47th Gawad Urian Awards for her role in Third World Romance, where she co-starred with her now-husband Carlo. Charlie even attended the awards night. Talk about being a multi-tasking bride!

During the Gawad Urian Awards on June 8, 2024, Charlie gave a heartfelt acceptance speech for her award. Afterwards, she took the liberty to talk to some of the media, including PEP.ph. The PEP team asked Charlie about why the award was a “gift” to her as she mentioned in her acceptance speech.

Charlie was very secretive yet she happily entertained the questions, “Hehehe, abangan niyo po! Ang masasabi ko lang, best gift siya. Kaya thank you, Lord!” Now that the secret’s out, we know why it’s the best gift for Charlie at the moment.
