National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts, and hailed as the superstar of Philippine cinema, was Nora Aunor. Recently, heartbreaking news was confirmed by her son, Ian De Leon.
At the age of 71, the superstar died. The confirmation of her death was reflected in a post shared on social media on Wednesday night. Ian said on Facebook, “We love you Ma.. alam ng diyos kung gano ka namin ka mahal.. pahinga ka na po Ma… nandito ka lang sa puso at isipan namin…”

She was the heart of our family — a source of unconditional love, strength, and warmth. Her kindness, wisdom, and beautiful spirit touched everyone who knew her. She will be missed beyond words and remembered forever.
He added that the details of the superstar’s wake will soon be announced. According to reports, she passed away at The Medical City in Pasig City, and many people grieved over such a great loss. Her death broke countless hearts, but her legacy will surely live on in her contributions to the entertainment industry.
