Faith Da Silva Finally Speaks Out: Clarifies Rumored Romance with Albert Martinez

The entertainment world was recently stirred by renewed talks surrounding the rumored romantic connection between rising star Faith Da Silva and veteran actor Albert Martinez, who is nearly 40 years her senior. Their closeness, seen during the filming of GMA Network’s 2021 drama Las Hermanas, sparked public intrigue, with many speculating whether the relationship went beyond friendship.

In a candid interview on the popular talk show “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” in February 2023, Faith Da Silva finally addressed the rumors head-on. Contrary to persistent gossip, Faith clarified that there was never a romantic relationship between her and Albert Martinez.

“He’s kind. He’s sweet. But I know how much he deeply loved his late wife,” Faith said during the interview, referring to Albert’s late spouse, Liezl Martinez, who passed away in 2015.

Faith admitted that she had a sense of admiration for Albert, particularly because of how he mentored and cared for her on set. His guidance and kindness were qualities she genuinely appreciated. Still, she emphasized that her feelings never evolved into anything romantic.

“I admired him, yes. But we were never in a relationship,” she reiterated.

Faith also acknowledged that the significant age gap between them—almost four decades—was a clear boundary she was mindful of. More than that, she deeply respected Albert’s enduring love for his late wife, which remained evident even years after her passing.

Back in September 2021, during the airing of Las Hermanas, Faith had already addressed similar rumors by highlighting the professional nature of her relationship with Albert. She praised his support and generosity on set, describing him as a mentor figure rather than a romantic interest.
