According to the report, the reason behind Gerald’s sudden physical weakness is allegedly related to Ai-Ai’s decision to withdraw her sponsorship of Gerald’s Green Card in the US.

Comedy Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas is happy after her petition to revoke the request to make her ex-husband Gerald Sibayan a permanent resident of the U.S. was approved.

The Comedy Queen reportedly cried on Friday, March 28, 2025, when she received the letter from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) approving her request to revoke to grant Gerald a green card.

In her statement to Cabinet Files on Sunday, March 30, Ai-Ai expressed her feelings: ‘That’s when I experienced the true meaning of the bleeding heart, but God never sleeps. Every tear and prayer I cried, He listened.’

Ai-Ai further described it as a difficult experience but said, ‘I will love myself more,’ this was the important lesson she learned from the trials she went through in her life.

It can be recalled that in her interview with Boy Abunda on November 11, 2024, Ai-Ai said that she would not withdraw the petition for Gerald to become a permanent resident of the United States. However, she explained in Cabinet Files that she has been honest in her decisions and actions, especially with U.S. Immigration.

‘My priority is to be honest in all my actions or dealings, especially with U.S. Immigration, so I cannot lie about the status or what is happening in my marriage,’ the Comedy Queen clarified.

Ai-Ai said that she filed for divorce so it is the right of USCIS to know that she no longer wants to provide benefits to Gerald as a spouse.

‘When he is no longer my husband, he is no longer entitled to the benefits of a spouse,’ said Ai-Ai.

Her request included withdrawing the petition and also canceling Gerald’s travel and work permit.

Ai-Ai further stated that the pain she felt increased when she discovered that there was a third party responsible for Gerald’s sudden departure from her.

According to Ai-Ai, she was not the one who broke up with her, but Gerald himself decided to leave.

‘I did not let her go. He left,’ Ai-Ai recalled.

Ai-Ai further shared that there were people who saw Gerald with his third party, even before Gerald left her.

Ai-Ai added that when she returned from the Philippines, there was no further communication with Gerald.
