Actors Will Ashley and Bianca de Vera expressed their gratitude for fans who organized and attended a recent fundraising concert for rescued animals, raising P200,000 in the process.

Fans of the “Pinoy Big Brother” contestants spearheaded the “Meowsika at Barkadahan” concert last July 11 in Quezon City to raise funds for non-profit animal welfare group Pawssion Project.

Among the local artists who performed were Hey June!, Shirebound, Amiel Sol, Eliza Maturan and Sud.

Will and Bianca also made an appearance, afterwards thanking their fans on social media for the successful event that raised P200,000.

“Truly, tagos sa amin ni Bianca ang fund raising na ito. I’ve always loved animals and nakakatuwa na marami tayong natulungan,” Will said.

“Isa to sa pangarap ko na magkaroon ng platform para makatulong sa lipunan. For me ‘yun ang best use of your fame.”

In thanking fans, Bianca paid tribute to her late dog Peach, who passed away in the middle of “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition.”

The actress was briefly allowed to leave the “Pinoy Big Brother” house to bid farewell and pay her respects.

“Peach would’ve loved this — music, kindness and love all in one place. What you did means more than you know,” Bianca said.

“Thank you, WillCa and to our favorite OPM artists, for making her memory feel alive. Here’s to turning love into action, for her and for so many others.”

Will and his duo partner Ralph de Leon finished second in “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition” behind big winners Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca while Bianca and her duo partner Dustin Yu were the last pair evicted before the finale.
