Cynthia Masongsong, the mother of Malia Kates Yuchen Gayeta Masongsong who died in the tragic NAIA Terminal 1 incident, was already aware that her daughter had passed away.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Malia’s aunt, who is the sister of her father Danmark Masongsong, shared that Cynthia had already been moved to the recovery room.

It was there that Danmark informed Cynthia that their only child, Malia, had died due to the tragic event.

According to Malia’s aunt, the grieving mother seemed to have already sensed what had happened.

According to her, Cynthia was conscious in the ambulance and could hear her husband screaming their daughter’s name.

After learning the news, what the mother asked her husband was a confirmation that their daughter was really gone.

Although she wasn’t sure what was the reaction of the little girl’s mother after hearing the heartbreaking news about her daughter.

She said Malia’s parents are now together.

Prior to this, she said Cynthia was always looking for Malia. She was also telling the victim’s father not to let their daughter be alone because she wasn’t used to being alone.

Additionally, the Overseas Filipino Worker, father of the 5-year-old girl victim in the NAIA Terminal 1 incident yesterday, has no longer proceeded to leave the country. In a report by GMA 7’s ‘Unang Balita,’ he and other family members went to a Pasay funeral facility where the initial processing of the deceased victims was made. The OFW father of the girl victim personally took his daughter’s remains and will be bringing them to Lipa City, Batangas.
