Once dubbed the “Miracle Princess” of Philippine showbiz, Kisses Delavin has exchanged glitz and glamour for grace and grit—as she now pursues her dream of becoming a professional ballerina in New York City.

After skyrocketing to fame in 2016 through Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7, Kirsten Danielle “Kisses” Delavin captivated millions with her charm, wit, and authenticity. From starring roles in films like Loving in Tandem to her run in Miss Universe Philippines 2021, Kisses was on a seemingly unstoppable trajectory. But in 2020, fans were stunned when she quietly stepped away from the entertainment industry and retreated to her home province of Masbate.

It wasn’t a publicity stunt or a temporary break—it was a conscious decision to heal, study, and rediscover herself away from the public eye.

Fast-forward to 2024, and a very different Kisses Delavin emerged—one clad in a green leotard, dancing under the soft lights of the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance in New York.

A video of her recent performance during the school’s spring recital quickly went viral among her fans, showing her executing intricate lifts and synchronized movements with poise and precision. For those who once saw her on red carpets and pageant stages, the transformation was both surprising and inspiring.

“This feels like her true calling,” one fan commented.
“From celebrity to artist—what a beautiful evolution,” another added.

Her enrollment at the prestigious Martha Graham School signals not just a new hobby, but a serious commitment to the art of dance. The school is known for producing some of the world’s most accomplished dancers, and Kisses’ inclusion is no small feat.

In past interviews, Kisses hinted at the toll fame had taken on her. While she cherished the love from her fans, she admitted to feeling overwhelmed by the pressure and scrutiny that come with stardom.

“I needed to step away to find peace,” she shared in a short Instagram note during her hiatus.

In Masbate, she focused on her studies, reconnected with her family, and slowly rekindled her passion for self-expression—this time, through dance.

Kisses’ life story has always been one of resilience. Born with a rare congenital condition, she was once given a slim chance of survival. Yet she lived, thrived, and rose to stardom. Her journey from a “miracle baby” to reality TV sweetheart to beauty queen—and now, ballet student—is a tale of continuous rebirth.

Unlike many former celebrities who attempt a comeback through mainstream media, Kisses has chosen a quieter, more intimate path: one that speaks to personal growth and artistic purity.
