Ian de Leon reveals “bitter truth” why he did not show up at birthday party prepared by mom Nora Aunor

For the first time, Ian de Leon spoke about his failure to attend the birthday celebration prepared by his mother, Nora Aunor on Friday, December 11.

December 11th was Ian’s 45th birthday.

Ian is Nora’s only biological child with ex-husband Christopher de Leon.

In a livestream on his YouTube channel this Sunday night, December 13, titled “The Bitter Truth,” Ian revealed his thoughts and reasons for not attending his mother’s planned party.

At the beginning of his livestream, Ian said that he loved his mother very much.

“But the disease is gone, e.g. “I can’t keep quiet any longer,” Ian continued.

Even though he’s in showbiz, Ian and his family still choose to keep important events private for them, such as getting together on occasions.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

Ian tells the story of how his Mommy Nora started planning to get her ready for her birthday.

Ian said: “My mum called me and we were so happy we hadn’t spoken in years.

“I’m so glad we loved you, we missed you, we talked to you.

“He’s planning my birthday, he’s going to get ready.

“Maghahanda siya for my birthday which is ilang taong hindi nangyari yun.

“Nangyari siguro yung huli, bata pa ako. Pero ngayon ulit siya maghahanda which, of course, don’t get me wrong, I was truly happy.

“I was overjoyed, the wind was blowing. All my problems, all the things my family was going through, disappeared when my mom said she was planning and we were going to meet on my birthday. I’m so excited.”

Nora apologized to him for all his “shortcomings” and “sins,” and Ian replied with the same apology.

According to Ian, it seems that all the families are going through something, it just so happens that they are in showbiz so the public knows.

Ian added, “The sad part is, there’s just a little deviation from people’s expectations, we’re bad, my sister is bad, my family is bad, it’s bad.”

Ian was referring to Lotlot de Leon, his older adopted sister.

Ian also mentioned his younger adopted siblings, Matet, Kiko, and Kenneth.

Ian continued, “I’m not competing, I’m not going live right now to curse or destroy.

“The Bitter Truth is called ‘The Bitter Truth’ because I just want you to know what’s true.

“My family and I would rather live the truth even when it hurts and is hard to swallow, than to live with everything that people seem, happy, everyone happy. But deep inside, when I’m in the room, it’s still spinning in my head, it’s still spinning in my heart, it’s still spinning in my heart, it’s what people are saying.

“This time, it’s not about the people. We are not here, I am not doing this to please people. I’m not doing this to put down anyone.

“I’m doing this because I want to get some truth out about our family.”

Ian spoke to his mother on camera again.

Sabi ni Ian, “Mommy, sobrang mahal na mahal ka namin, mahal na mahal kita.

“I wouldn’t trade the whole world for you, you know. All the things we have endured, all our lives, all our lives, because we love you, we love you.

“I love you, I would give my whole life for you.”

After this it became apparent that the following phrases Ian had left for his mother became known, which seemed to indicate why he had not gone to the party.

“I just don’t want other people around us, I just don’t want people to see us hugging, our sweet cheese in front of the camera. I don’t like that, Mom.

“When we meet, it’s just us.”

As reported by PEP Troika yesterday, December 12, a story by writer Rodel Fernando said that Ian did not celebrate his birthday because he had a gout attack.

Nora said she prepared early and gave an interview before a 6 p.m. birthday party at a restaurant.

Two hours before the party, Ian texted that he would not be able to attend because of his gout attack.

Ian’s brother, Kenneth, came with his wife, Sam.

With Ian not coming, it turned into an advanced holiday party with some fans and friends that Nora had sent to at the last minute.

THE BITTER TRUTH

 

At this point, Ian broke down in tears telling his “bitter truth.”

Ian said he was hurt after his phone call with his mother because the next day he said he had a question in the text: “Son, can I vlog what we were talking about?”

Paliwanag ni Ian, “We had all the chances before na mag-get-together. Sa birthday ko, we had all the chances na I told you, ‘Ma, magkakaapo ka na. Ma, first birthday niya. Binyag ni Jordan, Ma.’

“I want to say now, I’m saying it because I can’t take it anymore. I’m probably going to die if I don’t tell you the truth.”

Ian didn’t seem to care what the bashers were saying because he was just telling the truth.

He continued, “The truth is that in people’s lives, it’s all covered up, they don’t come out the truth because it’s painful to hear, it’s hard to swallow.

“But on behalf of my siblings, most especially Matet, my sister, I hope, the bashers, the haters who don’t understand, we don’t know you, e. Whatever you tell us.”

Ian recalled what had hurt him in his phone call with Nora.

“I was in a bad mood, Mom, on the phone call. I just didn’t know that, oh my gosh, that phone call, I thought it was that, uh. This is what I have been waiting for, what I have been waiting for.

“And this has to end, this hypocrisy has to end. We don’t like to live like this anymore. We don’t want to live a lie anymore.”

Ian also admitted that he had just made his gout an excuse so he didn’t go.

“My birthday, if it was my birthday, if it was a gout, I could have crutches.

“The truth is, it’s writing, it’s writing.

“Mom, I love you so much, Mom. I have a lot of respect for you.”

Ian also mentioned the write-up of Rodel Fernando, a showbiz writer close to Nora, and he said “find out the whole truth before you write.”

THE TEXT MESSAGE

What exactly is the truth that Ian is saying?

Ian said: “What happened was the night before we messaged… It is for those who know, for those who know, for those who understand, truly love and understand.

“Mom’s message is, I don’t want to get lost, I don’t want to get lost. I just wanted to tell you the truth.

“‘Son,’ he said, ‘will you? Answer me truthfully, answer me from your heart. “I can understand whatever you want me to say, but it’s going to be a special day.”

“When he got there, he wanted to get someone to come over.

Ian didn’t mention the person he was referring to that Nora wanted to go to on her birthday.

However, it is not uncommon for the superstar’s children to have a bad relationship with the actress’ long-time companion, singer-rapper John Rendez.

Before Nora lived in the United States for five years and returned to the Philippines in 2011, John was a constant companion.

Ian even shared that in his previous livestreams, he had already mentioned forgiveness.

If God does not forgive, then why does He not forgive?

He continued, “At this point, I want to forgive.

“To those of you who know what I’m talking about, thank you for understanding. I don’t want to go to showbiz anymore, I don’t want to do it anymore.

“Mom, I know you’re watching, I’ll say it again, I love you so much. That will never change, Mom.”

Ian also pleaded with his mother to give him the opportunity to take care of his own family.

Ian said, “I just want you to give your family a chance.

“You’ve been here for years, Mom. Give us the opportunity to take care of you, to love you, to care for you every day.

“Please, Mom, get out of here.

“It’s your family. I speak to you as your son, as your son who loves you.”

Ian even asks that on his next birthday, Nora will remove “Nora Aunor” from her character and they will see the real Nora who is not showbiz.

“My request is, not fancy, not cake, my request ma’am, be you Nora Cabaltera Villamayor, not Nora Aunor.

“I want your grandchildren to experience the love that you can share. I want to be with you while we still have the strength.”

For Ian’s viewers, he made it clear that he did not intend to “insult or destroy,” but to give “disclosure” to his family.

She said: “We have been trying to protect our mother all our lives, even if she doesn’t know it.

“We’re here, o.k. Mom, we are willing to lay down our lives for you.

“We’re going to help you do everything you need to do in life, just give us a chance.”

Ian said he appreciated the gesture that his mother made, but as he said earlier, “if we meet, we will be together.”

He added: “I hurt you, I hurt you because I didn’t come, you were prepared.

“Best effort, Ma, hands down. I appreciate from the bottom of my heart.”

Once again, Ian made it clear to the audience that he loved his mother very much, and that he wished he had spoken his truth sooner.

“If I could just give it all back, I wouldn’t have given in to fear, to intrigue.

“I wish I hadn’t just sat on one side and looked at what’s going on in front of my eyes, years to now.”

IAN’S CHRISTMAS WISH

At the end of the day, Ian wanted to talk to his mother.

“It’s Christmas, I just want to talk to you, Mom.

“Yung tayo lang please, kahit over the phone, basta mag-heart-to-heart talk.

“Walang camera, wala. Tayo lang, intimate.

“Iyan ang promise mo before my birthday, Ma. You told me na, ‘Promise, anak, tayo-tayo lang.’”

Ian didn’t want to do anything to express his thoughts just for the sake of vlogging, but he did.

Dahilan ni Ian, “Everyone has to know the truth. Everyone has to understand, everyone has the right to know.”

Ian also admitted that he made a mistake, but he said he hoped that their family’s problems would “not be a pariah,” even if they were in showbiz.

At the end of his livestream, Ian had another message for his mother.

“I love you, Ma, and take care always, Ma. I’ll be talking to you, sabihin niyo na lang sa akin over the phone.

“Sana… basta mag-usap na lang tayo, Ma, soon.

“I wish to see you, I miss you. Mahal na mahal kita and sorry kung di ko nakayanang pumunta sa hinanda niyong celebration para sa akin. I really do appreciate that.”

She even cried when she saw the birthday cake that read: “Happy Birthday, Ian! From Mommy.”

Ian continued, “So sweet. But no, e.g. I didn’t get it.

“On top of all that, my illness is. I’ve said it. I don’t want to do it again.”

At the end of the day, Ian said, “I don’t know where it’s going but it’s the truth.”
