MANILA — Actress Lotlot de Leon has shared details of the wake and interment of her mother, Philippine cinema’s superstar Nora Aunor.

Based on her Instagram post, the public viewing will be held on April 19 and 20 at The Chapels at Heritage Park. Visiting dates have also been set for Aunor’s family and friends.

The interment of Aunor, a National Artist, will be held on April 22 at Libingan ng mga Bayani. “State funeral details to follow,” De Leon’s post read.

State necrological services are expected to be held in honor of Aunor, one of the country’s most iconic stars, according to National Commission for Culture and the Arts.

Born Nora Cabaltera Villamayor, Aunor started her entertainment career in the 1960s as a singer and was known for her “golden voice.”

She went on to do powerful portrayals in films such as “Himala” in 1982, “Bulaklak sa City Jail” in 1984, and “The Flor Contemplacion Story” in 1995.

Aunor received recognition and awards for her acting prowess, including Best Actress honors at Gawad Urian and FAMAS for her performance in “Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos.”
