As with many showbiz romances, Jericho and Angelika Dela Cruz‘s relationship began on-screen in the ’90s. They starred in classic teen horror film Magandang Hatinggabi and Esperanza in 1997. The two only dated for a short term in 1999, with allegations that the reason for its end was because Angelika moved to another network.

In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan Philippines, Jericho expressed his eagerness to reunite with Kristine for a movie adaptation of Pangako Sa ‘Yo. He described their time on the show as magical in Philippine television history. Jericho has already discussed this potential reunion with his manager and envisions a film that continues the series’ story.

“I’ve always said it: I want to work with Kristine because I feel like [it’s] some sort of unfinished business when it comes to our run,” Jericho disclosed in February 2024.

5. Cindy Kurleto (2004-2006)

Cindy Kurleto, a Filipino-Austrian model, appeared alongside Jericho and Kristine in the film Ngayong Nandito Ka. During the period when Jericho and Kristine were involved in a romantic relationship, rumors circulated suggesting that Cindy might have been a factor in their breakup.

However, in an interview with Ricky Lo for Funfare in 2003, Cindy firmly denied any involvement, stating she was “not guilty” of any romantic entanglements that could have impacted their relationship.

At the time, Cindy was in her own relationship with a model who was half-Brazilian and half-Japanese, whom she had met in Bangkok. Despite the speculation, Cindy’s connection with Jericho was short-lived and professional.

In 2021, through an Instagram Q&A, Cindy shared a personal detail about her and Jericho’s relationship. “[We dated for] almost two years. Left him for the man who became the father of my children. Someone, somewhere, will not like this post, but I’m not lying,” Cindy revealed.

6. Heart Evangelista (*supposedly* from 2006 to 2008)

Jericho and Heart Evangelista‘s relationship was one of the most talked-about and controversial romances in Philippine showbiz. Their romance reportedly began around 2004, shortly after Jericho’s split from Kristine. The high-profile relationship attracted significant media attention due to both their celebrity status and the controversies surrounding their romance.

One of the most contentious aspects was the supposed strong opposition from Heart’s parents, particularly her mother, Cecile Ongpauco. This disapproval was reportedly so intense that Heart became estranged from her family for a time. The specific reasons for their disapproval were never fully disclosed.

Despite these challenges, Jericho and Heart’s relationship lasted nearly three years before ending in 2008. 8. Kim Jones (2011-2019)

After dating for two years, Jericho proposed to Kim on August 4, 2013, Kim’s birthday, and they married in an intimate ceremony on May 1, 2014. Their relationship, admired for its low-key nature and mutual support, has been described as empowering and aspirational by many.

Yet, despite their relatively private life, they faced public scrutiny over their decision to delay having children. This follows a blind item shared by Ogie Diaz the previous year, which hinted at a couple undergoing annulment.

9. Janine Gutierrez (2024-Present)

Since Jericho’s breakup with Kim, rumors have swirled about his romantic life, including speculations about a possible relationship with Kathryn Bernardo, which Jericho has outrightly denied. However, one rumor that has proven to be true is his relationship with Janine Gutierrez.

Recently, Jericho confirmed that he is dating Janine, and they are starring together in the teleserye Lavender Fields. Reports first indicated that the two were spotted on “casual dates” around Metro Manila and both have shared matching snaps from their recent visit to a museum.

Janine’s mother, Lotlot De Leon, also addressed the dating rumors at first. “Well, they’re both single, so nakikita ko nga na they’re always together. That’s good if they’re trying to get to know each other. They’re both mature individuals,” Lotlot said. “So if eventually they are really dating, then I trust Janine, I trust her decision.” Lotlot also praised Jericho, describing him as thoughtful, caring, and a decent man, expressing her support if Janine chooses to continue the relationship.

Since the confirmation, Janine and Jericho have become IG official, and greeted each other for their birthdays. Even Jericho’s son Santino seems to be supportive of their relationship. In an interview with Karen Davila, Jericho also revealed that he didn’t want to date Janine at first—because he was mistakenly told that she was just 24 years old.
